Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Sunday’s trading session down.
By 10:06 am Qatar time, the general index fell 12.6 points, or 0.14 %, to 8,835.17 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 110.2 million after 3.3 million shares were changed hands through 890 transactions.
The banking sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 1.07% as Qatar National Bank (QNB) declined 2.3%.
On the positive side, the insurance sector topped the bourse’s gainers adding 5.27% on the back of the growth of Qatar Insurance and Al Khaleej Takaful Group with 8% and 1.31%, respectively.
Qatar Insurance’s stock led the market in terms of trading volume with 2.05 million shares, generating QAR 76.23 million.
